We’ve always had a debate over whether studying abroad is a gift or a curse.
Individuals’ perspectives differ. If you were to ask me, I would undoubtedly reply that studying abroad is a blessing. Why is this the case?
Many world-renowned universities may be found in India. Having said that, we must also admit that none of them are in the top 20.
While numerous elements contribute to this, I don’t see why a person shouldn’t be educated overseas if they have the resources to do so and have a desire and skill. While some study for the status symbol, the vast majority go abroad to advance their careers.
A person must push themselves beyond their comfort zone to discover how much they can flourish and how ahead they can leap. A long stay in a foreign country may be incredibly beneficial and even life-changing, and it is best done when you are youthful and active.
Going overseas to study is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will allow you to improve personally and professionally while also providing you with experiences that will last a lifetime.
Advantages of Studying Abroad
- It changes you into a more interesting character
Although it may sound trite, studying abroad definitely widens your horizons. Being in a new place and witnessing how other cultures handle life forces you to reconsider your ideas. It helps you to visualize things in a new light, making you a more well-rounded and inviting person.
- It provides you with something to speak about
Studying abroad will help you become the person you’ve always admired. You’ll also be able to tell some entertaining stories about your attempts to cope with cultural shock.

- You will learn a different language
If you study abroad in a place where people do not speak your native language, you will have a great opportunity to learn it. There is nothing like living in a country to learn its language. If you already have a basic understanding of the language, here is your chance to improve your fluency.
- It appears nice on your résumé/CV
Having a study abroad experience on your CV shows companies that you are a well-traveled individual who is open to diverse cultures and points of view.
- Improved learning chances
Studying abroad helps you to get the most out of your education in your desired field. This is because you may apply to study at the world’s finest universities for your field rather than settle for institutions close to home.
- Social networks can be created all over the world
You will not only interact with individuals from your host country, but you will also meet many other foreign students from all around the world. You will ideally make lifelong relationships and acquaintances with whom you may visit anytime you are in their area.
