GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) stands as a benchmark assessment for individuals aspiring to pursue graduate management education, such as an MBA or related programs. Developed and administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the GMAT evaluates critical thinking, analytical writing, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning skills.

Originating in 1953, the GMAT was created to provide business schools with a standardized measure to assess applicants' preparedness for graduate-level academic work. Over the decades, it has evolved into a globally recognized test, accepted by thousands of graduate management programs worldwide.

Test Structure

The GMAT consists of four sections:

Test Score and Format

The GMAT is scored on a scale of 200 to 800, with separate scores provided for the verbal and quantitative sections. The AWA and IR sections receive scores ranging from 0 to 6 and 1 to 8, respectively.
Competency Level:
Achieving a high GMAT score demonstrates proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication – essential skills for success in graduate management education and the business world.
Test Duration: 
The GMAT takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete, including breaks.
Tips for Scoring High:
Practice Regularly: Familiarize yourself with the test format and question types by practicing with official GMAT study materials and sample questions.
